On Monday 21 March 2023, the Substitute Provincial Grand Master, Bro. Gordon Heggie PM presented the Diamond Service Certificate to Bro. Robert Ramsay Steven PM and Bro. Joe Graham.

The SPGM was visiting the Lodge in his official capacity as the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow's representative during their annual visit.

After the official business of the annual visitation was complete, the RWM Bro. Gordon Dinnie PM accompanied the SPGM Bro. Gordon Heggie from East to West, where the SPGM had the great pleasure of presenting the 2 brethren of their 60 year service, Diamond Certificate.

SPGM Bro. Gordon Heggie PM congratulated both brethren on their service to  Freemasonry, and went on to wish both of them many more healthy years in the craft.

Bro. Joe Graham was initiated into Freemasonry on 2nd February 1960, passed on 16th February 1960, and raised to the High and Most Sublime rank of Master Mason on 3rd May 1960.  After moving away from the area, Bro. Joe became a regular visitor to Lode Tollcross (No. 1194), where he is still a regular attender today.  

Bro. Joe said that he was delighted to receive his Diamond Certificate in his Mother Lodge after many years absence and said he would endeavour to be a more frequent visitor in the future.

Bro. Robert Ramsay Steven PM was initiaited into Freemasonry on 15th May 1961, passed on 6th September 1961,  and raised to the High and Most Sublime rank of Master Mason on 7th October 1961.  Like Bro. Joe, Bro. Robert moved away from the area and became a regular visitor at Lodge Moorpark (No. 1263), where he later affiliated.

Following a chance meeting with Bro. Drew Caldwell PM, Bro. Robert started attending his Mother Lodge, where he became a regular attender and office bearer.  Bro Robert was installed into the Chair of King Solomon at Lodge Govandale on 18th November 2017. 

Before covid, Bro. Robert was making over 200 visits to sister lodgesin and outwith the Province of Glasgow every year, making him a well kent face in most Lodges in the West of Scotland.
